For 6 years Pete lived in a forest. He was different from any other little boy. Pete somehow survived through a journey with many horrific and tragic rocky roads within it. Pete almost lost his best friend, his partner in crime and his archetypal hero. Like no other, Pete got through it all and faced the most horrific archetypal journey a young boy could possibly face. The hero archetypes explained Elliot in every way possible. He was such a caring and protective creature. Elliot was always there to help Pete no matter what the situation was. The Archetypal journey was the whole movie in one. Life is a journey and throughout that journey Pete learned to never give up. The movie Pete's Dragon will cause tears of sadness in the beginning, but tears of joy throughout the end. This movie may be upsetting in some moments but later in the movie happiness occurs and everything turns out okay. The director of the movie, David Lowry, seemed as if he wanted kids to understand that they should never give up no matter how difficult the journeys they face are. Also, he wanted the reader/audience to know that there is always someone who will care about them and will protect them, a hero. No one will never face a fearful moment
