I have chosen a career in Pharmacy because the profession has had a considerable impact on my life. At the beginning of my eighth grade year, I encountered a great amount of health problems, which first started with Sarcoidosis in my eyes. Appraoches I have taken already to researched the profession include: internet sources, talking with my local Pharmacist, and college visits. The internet sources were the first sources I used to take into consideration if Pharmacy was a profession I might want to consider. After researching about the profession and learning about the job duties of a Pharmacist as well as the different working environments, I decided I was extremely interested in learning more. Out of these schools, Ohio Northern has excited me the most. The Ohio Northern's Raube College of Pharmacy is different than the other colleges I have viewed because it is a 6 year program with freshman students being directly admitted into the program. Ohio Northern also starts teaching freshman Pharmacy students about medications, illnesses, and Pharmacuetical practices within their first year in the program. At other schools, many students are required to take preliminary courses their first and second years in college and then apply to the Pharmacy school, risking the chance of not making it in. The professors at Ohio Northern have also made a considerably better impression on me than other schools. The professors at Ohio Northern seem delightful to work with and are amenable to help their students succeed. I have undoubtedly enjoyed seeing the classrooms I would be working in and that the equipment I would be using is state of the art. Ohio Northern's Raube College of Pharmacy is unique compared to other schools and is known for being one of the best in the country. I am interested in this program because I would like to have the opportunities that Ohio Northern offers and to make memories at the beautiful
