Aim: To study the growth and germination of the plant species in different salinities of water.
Research question: What is the effect of different salinity levels in the soil going to have on the growth and germination of the seeds of the Phaseous Vulgaris plant?
Background information The purpose of me choosing this experiment in finding the effect of salinity levels on the growth and germination of seeds is because this has been my biggest interest since the start of studying about plants. I always wanted to know the effect of different variables on the growth and germination of the seeds. Like for example the light, temperature, water level, salinity level, soil pH, but the chance I got and felt safe doing was the salinity level, since it was the clearest between all of them. I understood the way salt acts towards the soil and what effect it has on the seeds that are present in the soil. Mung beans, also known as Phaseous Vulgaris

The soil was covered with grey powder. The seeds were dry and brown in color. All of the seeds were dead and none of the seeds germinated. This is due to the salt absorbing all of the moisture and nutrients from the soil, avoiding the seeds to germinate and grow. The soil in the samples was light brown in color, some parts of it were dry and covered with grey powder. The other part of the soil was dry and didn’t have anything on the surface. The seeds did not germinate and they were dry and brown in color. The seeds in the part of the soil that was just dry, were light brown in color. The sample contained a very small amount of dry soil and no grey powder was found. Half of the seeds germinated but didn’t grow. The seeds had been germinated but the salt that was in the soil did not allow the seeds to continue the growth circle. The seeds had some colored green, and the rest were light brown and
