The Phi Delt Board approached the current seniors (Class of 2017) to start the tradition of having graduates write a brief collective memory to reflect on their journey through the Phi Delt house – a final memento through which we want to share highlights and meaningful moments with our alumni. In our minds, we pledged at a perfect time: we were the first to live in Steve Bell’s renovated PDT house, we were able to watch the Heels make the NCAA Finals in a variety of sports, and most importantly, we were able to carry on the traditions that make Phi Delta Theta one of UNC’s top fraternities. From working on the Eve Carson Memorial 5k, to helping start the Luke Garrison Memorial Golf tournament to remember a brother we miss dearly, our class …show more content…
Outside of school, our class enjoyed a spring break trip to Aspen, and PDT Formal at the Kingston Plantation at Myrtle Beach. We also set a record year fundraising for the Eve Carson Memorial 5k.

Senior year has been a blast thus far, and we’re all starting to realize how badly we don’t want to leave this place. For some of us, we’re not exactly sure how we’ve made this far, and are simply happy to still be enrolled at UNC. Luckily, the NC Beta Board is in the initial stages of forming a new alumni-led mentor program that all of us would have taken advantage of and benefited from had it been available to us. For any local alums interested in mentoring young Phis, please reach out to HK Hallett.

To conclude, we thank you all for supporting us for four great years in Chapel Hill. We have enjoyed having the opportunity to meet and learn from so many of you, and we all look forward to being able to give back in the future to our beloved fraternity. Go
