Thinking Philosophically What is my Philosophy of life? To be honestly, I never thought about it in dept enough to really have a definition. I live to work hard and have a good future. I am a people pleaser, but can be real honest and harsh when I have too. I do not like to waste my time with people that are lazy and have not self respect others. Fighting and arguing is not my cup of tea, but if it is some I am passionate about I will fight in till the end. What I have learned from taking this class so far is, there is never a stupid answer because it good to expand you train of thought to the deeps level where you might be frustrated or make your head hurt. I never face the right thought behind my actions, but this essay will really make me think.
1.What do I most value in life? Why? I value my Family, Religion, friends and work. I feel that these think keep everyone going every day, but in honestly I cannot be happy unless I am finically stable. People that say “Money doesn’t make me happy” they are liars. Can people that are broke and starving honestly tell you that they are happy where they stand? Never! Because money controls life where every we go and no matter what, we need to have money to have happiness. In reality, I think people like to substitute happiness for reality. If we are thinking philosophically another word real, then we need to face the fact that money does make happiness!
2. What morals beliefs influence your choices and your behavior toward other? How do you determine the “right” thing to do? I believe in the way I was raised by my parents. They taught me respect, honestly, hard work, and kindness. I like to be respectful to everyone as long as they show me respect. My behavior real has to do with the saying “to get respect, you have to earn it”. I also like to follow my Christian beliefs, such as following the Ten Commandment. I enjoy having fun and doing the right thinks all the time, but I am human and I make mistakes. When it comes choosing what the right thing to do, I always follow my beliefs, the way I was raised, and if I am hurting some I wont do it.
3. What role do religious beliefs play in your life? Do you believe in “God”? why or why not? Is there an afterlife? If so, what is the path to it? My religious beliefs play a major role in my life because it the way of living right and doing the right thing. I believe there is a God that Died for my sin so I can live again for him on this earth. Does not mean I shove me beliefs on others, but I do like to share Christ with others when it appropriate. John 3:16 says “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only be gotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” I believe this is an afterlife because his son died for my sins and if I follow his word and believe that he did die for my sins; I will have everlasting life in Heaven. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our…
