I am writing to be considered as a candidate for entry into the University of British Columbia’s summer student Physical Therapy program. I am currently a second year student at Utah State University, who is enrolled in the undergraduate Pre-Physical Therapy program. I have already taken and enjoyed human anatomy and physiology, which are the two primary classes that will aid me in understanding the discourse and succeeding when participating in this program.

After reviewing your program on the University of British Columbia’s website, I was immediately interested in the learning opportunities it has to offer. I was very impressed after attending the open house over the summer and I am excited to apply to a program that is so committed in giving their students and patient’s care that is supported by the highest order of compassion, innovation, science, and technology. I am able to easily communicate verbally and have the critical thinking needed for tough situations. I am confident these skills and the others I acquire will act as a liaison between patients and medical staff. My strong teamwork skills are complimented by the ability I have to create interpersonal relationships with employers, co-workers, and most importantly, patients. Furthermore, my experience as a volunteer at my local hospital enabled me to acquire guidance and referral skills, which will contribute to my success as a focused student in your ¬¬¬¬¬¬program.
