The most meaningful service activity I have participated in is Gliding With the Stars. This therapy program meets in Findlay and helps autistic children build confidence and core strength while learning to ice skate. For the past two years, I have been a volunteer skater who instructs children. This experience has shown me the importance of therapy for individuals with special needs and has reinforced my career goal of being a physical therapist. The program meets once a week and it is obvious the significant impact this activity makes with muscle tone and stamina. This program has had a significant impact in my life because you become very close to the children you skate with and I love to watch them progress each week. At the end of the season
