I picked Professional Ballet Dancing for my career because I have a big passion for it. I love dancing because it puts me in another time and place which makes me feel free. Professional dancing relates to physics through the motion and its steps. Relating physics to dance had helped me better understand it, let me explain.
The requirements start when you start dancing. During your life you will need to learn the basic technique at a dance studio. The teacher will teach you the steps and physics behind it. Then starting in High School you will need to take conditioning classes for health. As well as classes in dance to get a feel for their everyday work, and physics to have a better understanding of how it works. After you graduate, and go into college, you will need a major in dance and in physics. After college you can start going into looking at professional companies such as Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West, American Ballet Theater, Houston Ballet etc. When you get into the company, you will be

For the dance program, Juilliard accepts auditions and also gives out scholarships. They accept 24 dancers each year, so as you can see, it’s very challenging to get in. The Juilliard dance program gives a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an Undergraduate Diploma in Dance. The Bachelor degree includes a full four years of training and Liberal Arts Curriculum. The Diploma includes a full four years of training without Liberal Arts Curriculum. Double Majors are very rare at the Juilliard. It’s only possible to have a double major if both are in Classical Music. ASU, and California Institute for the Arts, also have the opportunity of a dance major but there are so many more colleges with these opportunities.
