Picasso's Art And How Did Art Change In 400 Years

When you were young have you seen Picasso’s art, and thought that you could do better? Well if you knew more about art and thought about the meaning of the art than you would have realized that there's more to it than what meets the eyes. I am comparing Donatello David’s Early renaissance sculptures to Pablo Picasso’s Post-Impressionism sculpture and how did art change in 400 years?
The artwork that I decided on for Picasso was the sculpture Sylvette. It resembles a pretty women’s face with long hair. The sculpture is white with black lines to add detail. The sculpture is in a z shape adding a third dimension to the sculpture. The shape of the face is determined by the shape of the sculpture. The zig zag the painting makes it look like the face is elongated. The details using the black lines add contrast and their vibrant distinction between the white areas and some spots on the painting are darker than

Donatello's art represents a man, showing every part of his body and is very detailed, however picasso's art barely shows the picture of a real women and hides half of her body. This represents how the meaning of the art is more important than just sculpting what you see. Yes david’s sculpture is impressive but it doesn't leave us much to think about the sculpture,however with picasso’s he encourage us to see the meaning behind every thing about the sculpture.
The way that the painters represents a person is totally different. Picasso's art represent a woman in a way that seems to have a deeper meaning. What you see is not what you get with a woman there's a deeper dimension to it and story. Donatello's David is straight up what you see is what you get and there's no deeper meaning to it. Yes, his sculpture is impressive and you can see he put a lot of time into however, there's no meaning behind it. Picasso's might have spent half the time on his painting, but it has more meaning and is more
