True faith is having the assurance for something we cannot see. And true faith comes from God in a form of a gift. In Ephesians 2:8 it says,” Faith comes from God in a form of a gift.” Millions of people every day wonder what is true and faith where it comes from. In Pilgrims Progress Christian the main character sets out on a spiritual journey. Many people can relate to his journey, but on sticks out above the others, Paul/Saul. Paul before being saved was a lost, cruel, broken hearted man. He later came to Christ and his whole life changed. When discovering to find out what true faith is as a Christian, faith seen in Pilgrim’s Progress, and faith in the bible are all essential needs to figuring out what true faith is and where it comes from. …show more content…
Throughout the book Christian is road blocked by many obstacles through the struggling times.
Third, Faith in the Bible, there are many stories about faith in the bible. The people in the bible have to trust and hope in God to get through the struggling times. Such stories as David and Goliath in that particular story David has to fight a giant with a tiny sling shot. David has to have faith in God to fight the giant Goliath. He later fights and kills Goliath. Another example from scripture would be from Hebrew eleven. It states, “By faith Abel brought by God a better sacrifice than Cain did. God said he was pleased with the gifts Abel offered and called Abel a good man because of his faith. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.” Because Abel brought God a better sacrifice Cain was jealous of him, but because he had faith in God he still speaks today.
In conclusion, what is true faith and where it comes is from God in a form of a gift. Defining Faith as a Christian, faith seen in Pilgrim’s Progress, and faith in the Bible are all very essential when discovering to find out what true faith is. John Calvin once said, “True faith is ever connected with hope.”
