In the lab we used two connected petri dishes to observe the the climate, wet or dry, that the pillbugs would prefer to live. In the connected petri dishes we laid one wet paper towel on one side and a dry one on the the other side; the connected petri dishes had a opening so the bugs could chose to move between the the two dishes freely. The little I do know about pill bugs is that if you are trying to find them you should look in a wet dark place to be more efficient. Using my prior knowledge and observing the bug and I inferred that: if the bugs could chose between a wet or dry climate, then they would choose the dry climate because it is a better source of food.

While observing the bugs as they moved in between the two dishes we counted and recorded the number of bugs in each dish at every 30 second interval. When the lab was started we put five bugs in each dish. At one minute we already had seven bugs in the wet and three in the dry dish, by two and a half minutes we had nine bugs in the wet and one in the dry dish. The bugs liked to stay in groups and try to escape. The bugs stayed in those dishes until four and a half minutes when when the data changed to eight wet and two in the dry dish. At five minutes the bus moved back to the original nine wet and one dry dishes. At seven minutes one more bug moved to the the dry side which mage our count eight wet and two in the dry dish, after that the bug moved back to the wet side and our data stayed at nine bugs in wet and one bug in bry for the rest of the ten minutes. The data collected prove that our hypothesis was correct; the data showed that the pill bugs enjoyed the wet climate more and that is what our hypothesis stated.
