In “ Julie Chen Reveals Plastic Surgery to Make Eyes Look Bigger,” an Article, CBS News discusses on why Julie Chen made her eyes look bigger. Julie Chen is an asian who had small eyes and she needed a change. CBS News stated that Chen was a local reporter and she always dream of being an anchor, the favors are not in her hand. That is what the new directors told her. Then CBS News acknowledge Chen’s co-host really ruin her. He said that she does not have a chance due to her asian eyes. In Addition, CBS News points out that she talk to her parents about the surgery on her eyes. This leads to Chen to get surgery and now she is having second thoughts even though she was able to make it as an anchor. Chen did get the job, but why did she get second thoughts? Well I believe she give it in to the men and listen to them. She could of been a legend to the asian community, but she went with the man and did the surgery. To me, I think she was peer pressure to doing it because it was very hard for her to become an anchor knowing that is asian. People said that her eyes make her boring and look uninterested, but really she is quite interested in her job.…show more content… I always fall into peer pressure, but at times I will stand my ground as long as it is nothing bad. Most of the time I fall to peer pressuring of trying something new. Usually the people who make me do these kind of stuff are my friend. They are not bad people, but they want me to try new things because of I do is go home and play games. I know that is not the right way to spend my free time. I should be going out having fun with friends and family or going to do homework. This is a good reason to peer pressure somebody, but peer pressuring Chen like that is not the right way to go.
