Thoroughly Modern Millie Assignment “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is about a girl who takes an excursion to New York to achieve her ambition. Her goal is find a miraculous job to hopes of meeting her future husband, who preferably happens to be the boss. Millie encounters troubles with his living costs, the random man she met on the street, the hotel manager, and the love line between her new best friends and her boss. After defeating her hotel manager due to white slavery, the man she met on the street happens to be her real boss. He proposed to her and the love line between her old boss and her new friend ended. Everyone, excluding the hotel manager, had a happy ending. Millie, or Alana, played the marvelously. She reached every note that was written and I saw no flaws throughout the performance. During my showing, one character messed up her line, and Millie undoubtedly recovered the mistake. She played the roll extremely well when seducing the boss which made the seen humorous. There will always be someone who is looking for only the rich to marry. As mentioned before, selling women is still a dangerous and common problem, especially in european countries. Women still achieve less than men. Due to social media, they are the more downgraded gender. Given these points, the society issues still aroused in our time. Overall, this play had an amazing soundtrack. I enjoyed the dancing because they usually didn’t used moves from the 20s in previous plays. This plot did show a girl with ambitions and achieving them. This play has a large range of audiences. I personally wouldn’t recommend sending little children because they might not comprehend the text of the story. This play is mainly for people who are into comedy with a little romance. Altogether, the performers were fantastic and almost everyone should go and watch
