I agree, now a days African-Americans can do whatever they want to do and about the part with slavery I would also agree because back then if that where me seeing those fugitives suffer so much because of the color of their skin then I would say that it was highly unacceptable and inappropriate. I mean this is the United States of America haven't those people then heard of the song The Star Spangled Banner before like "for the land of (the free)" I believe that it's supposed to mean like for people in a free country and billions of adults, teens, families and even young children are citizens who have rights of their own no matter what the cost is for.
