The Death Gap is about the life expectancy across the United States and the chance of living a healthy life based on the neighborhood we live in and our economic status. According to the Podcast living in poverty and if we are poor in this Country life is much more difficult. Because of the poor health care options and lack of resources people in poverty are offered. According to Dr. Ansell being poor affects people’s life because of the lack of access to health care options and the lack of resources they are provided. Causes people to have many health issues and cease them from living a healthy life.

Focusing on the individual causes of health problems. We will see that many health issues are the result of the lack of access to health care, resources, and healthcare options people are denied. As well as the high amount of stress from poverty and which cause people to become distressed and potentially be more vulnerable and suffer from other health issues. Also, the increasing amount of violence is a big factor affecting people’s health. The impact of stress people facing poverty and Structural violence take a toll on the mental, emotional, and physical health of a person which affect the aging and development of a baby. I believe that because of the increase in low birth weight, disease such as Cancer. I believe that there should be more resources provided to people in need and provide better treatment.
