On January 25, 1981 a talented women was born . That talented women is Alicia Keys . Alicia Keys is still alive and she grew up in New York City . Alicia Keys real name is Alicia Augello Cook but she is know professionally as Alicia keys. Alicia is an american singer-songwriter , pianist , music producer, philanthropist, and actress. Alicia made a poem called P.O.W it was published in 2005.

In the poem P.O.W have 6 stanzas but does not have a set pattern. The poet use rhyme but does not use rhyme scheme . Alicia uses repetition, the repetition is on stanza 1 and stanza 6.“ I’m a prisoner of words unsaid just lonely feelings locked away in my head.” She used repetition on stanzas 1 and stanza 6 again and it said “Inside a prison of words unsaid”

A metaphor she wrote “Inside a prison of words unsaid “ when she said that she meant her being trapped or caged inside somewhere and not being able to let everything out that have been on her mind . Another example is “when you've caged yourself by holding your tongue.” Being stuck not being able to talk it's just like your mouth is paralyzed . The alliteration used was “To my head is my hand with a gun” basically telling us how she is feeling and her actions but word “head” and “hand”. Another example of alliteration she used is “stoned drug or complacency and compromise” . the two words that made it alliteration is “complacency’ and “compromise”. The deeper meaning about the poem is P.O.W means “prisoner of war” which is a person , whether civilian or combat, who is held to punish prosecute them for war
