Australians are known for their hard working drive and their strong personalities. The Australian Identity throughout both of these poems is that the Australian character is one of hard working people and strongminded families and soldiers. Both of these poems describe in depth about the mental and physical strains that are put on the soldiers and their families when they get home and the long term effects as well.
