Hit or miss? When it comes to police shootings the news blows the real story out of proportion. Police shootings don’t happen every day, everywhere, they happen very rarely and when they happen the police always win. When an officer is shot, wounded, or potentially died on the scene the person that killed the officer will get a lifetime sentence. When an officer gets wounded or dies some people think it is wrong and some think it is right because the officer did “something bad” or he defended themselves, they were in the wrong but I think they are mostly in the right for firing their weapon. The news channels or social media make the police look like the bad guy when it comes to the police shootings. The police are not always the bad guy in certain situations. In situations when the police have been in the wrong, but very rarely are the police in the wrong. In active shootings the police think they have shot, maybe 3-4 bullets when they really shot 15-20. The police don’t know because of the risk they’re in. Most of the time police don’t even know how many shots were fired until the area is safe and the criminal is in custody or potentially got shot.
