A poltergeist is a type of spirit or other supernatural. The word “poltergeist” is a German word of “noisy ghost”. Investigators found that this type of ghost is disruptive and destructive. It can make weird physical manifestations such as noises, objectsmoved or destroyed. It can also make physical disturbance to people such as hitting, pinching, tripping and biting people. They were recorded in different cultures and countries, and they generally had the same properties and characteristics. Jacob Grimm, a German mythologist, described cases in his “Deutsche Mythologie” and one of them which occurred from Bingen-am-Rhein in AD 135, where rocks were thrown, loud noises and raps were heard and people got pulled out of bed ().The clergyman and chronicler Giraldus Cambrensis describes in his Itinerarium Cambriae (AD1191), an incident at a house in Pembrokeshire, Wales, where “spirits” threw dirt and other objects, garments were ripped and torn and the spirit spoke publicly as well(). There were many more such incidents in Medieval which were not isolated. However, the problem is that the medieval chronicles didn’t record the incidents as “history”, they added many signs, miracles and wonders which made incidents not acceptable as “true” happenings now days since the things they wrote are too
