The Lost City of Pompeii

After the earthquake the city started to rebuild itself, but not in enough time until the volcano would completely wipe out the entire city. In 79 CE Mount Vesuvius would rain down terror on Pompeii and many cities around. There was no word for “volcano” in 79 CE, so the people of Pompeii were completely clueless (HS,2). He headed towards the fallout zone, which was where the ash and rock that was launched into the air fall from the sky. The fallout zone was directly over Pompeii at this time Kona and once the ships was in the fall of zone visibility was very low and he knew that they were in trouble. So he ordered to go to the light, but the wind push them down the coast towards the town of Stabeii. They found shelter there and Pliney met a friend that helped him and actually bathed him(Simon,3). Around this time a nearby town by the name of “Hercules” was wiped out by a huge wave of hot ash and rock. The wave is known as a pyroclastic surge. The wave is five times hotter than boiling water and wipes out anything in its path. Most of the people in the city had
