If I had to pick one place to visit in Italy, it would have to be Vatican City. I think that it would be such an amazing and cool place to see. The architecture and scenery are so elegant and sophisticated. The Vatican City is the smallest internationally recognized independent state in the world in both population and area. It is run by The Pope and is an important place for Catholics. I would visit because it is such an important location both historically and culturally. There are many memorable places and structures that I would love to be able to see specifically. The Sistine chapel was built from 1475-1481 and is especially known for the paintings by Michelangelo. It was a great achievement of the Renaissance Era and Baroque art. It is filled with many drawings of men using all colors of red blue and brown. There is an iconic image of the creation of Adam, when God first created man. Another place I would love to see is St. Peter’s Square. The plaza has a symmetrical shape and in the center is a huge compass. It is also near where the Pope lives. Additionally, on the plaza is St Peter’s Basilica, which is a highly renowned place and is the biggest church. It is the resting places of many famous popes.
In the Vatican there aren’t great, cheap, public places to eat. However, there are many nice restaurants nearby. Ideally, for a meal, I would start off with a salad. After that, I would order the Fettucine Alfredo because I do not like seafood and do not eat much meat.
