Pope John Paul II Research Paper

Pope John Paul was an excellent example to other people of how to live and behave. Surprisingly, in his 26 years as a head of the church and as a first non-Italian pope in 455 years, he’s consistently was a evangelizer of the church.The pope turned into one of the most influential and significant figures of the world in his time. He’s done many great things in this world like changing events and people ideas, improved the many lives of people, and he was also an excellent example of how to live your life.

Firstly, St Pope John Paul II changed events and people’s ideas. St Pope John Paul was a voice of right and wrong for the world. He changed both the church and the world in many ways, visiting more than 100 countries over his long career as a pope. St. John Paul II changed many people’s opinion about communism which he ended in many European countries, starting with his hometown Poland. In his time as a Pope, he taught many lessons such as viewing work not as a burden, but as an opportunity. “At times he used the world as a pulpit: in Africa, to decry hunger, in Hiroshima, Japan to denounce the arms race; in Calcutta, India, to praise the generosity of Mother Teresa”. As a pastor of the universal church, he travelled around the world sending messages to 129 countries in 104 trips outside of Italy. In those trips he spoke to each country in their own language until he started to lose momentum by the end of his life. He also pushed the Catholic social teaching into relatively new areas such as bioethics, international economics, racism and ecology.
