Popol Vuh, a mythical story that js also known as the Book of the People or The Mayan Bible.This famous story is centered around Mayan culture that takes place in Central America. The main importance throughout this story is the Mayans strong beliefs in religion. In the Popol Vuh they believe in polytheism and that everything is controlled by all the different Gods. Throughout the book there are strong comparisons to other famous books where they can relate such as the Bible, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, and Campbell’s A Hero with a Thousand Faces.
