Marvel is the master mind behind many super hero comic books from Spiderman, Fantastic four, the Incredible Hulk, and many more. With a look at the popular Wolverine series this will help readers understand how one Marvel creation became a phenomenon in the comic world. Once a comic book phenomenon and now a big screen franchise entertaining millions of people worldwide. James Howlett, was a young man born in Alberta Canada his parents John and Elizabeth Howlett were wealthy landowners. James was a frail and sickly young man who was always neglected by his mother who was institutionalized for some time after the death of the first son; John Jr. James had only two friends on the estate that he played with daily. One red head name Rose and the grounds keepers’ son who was nick named “Dog.” The ground keeper Thomas was a drunk abusive man who would violently abuse Dog for years. As the friends grew older the Thomas made unwanted advances toward Rose which started a whole chain of events.
James the sickly boy told his father of the advances, when he confronted Thomas he attempted to leave the estate with Elizabeth claiming her to be his former lover. John tried to stop the drunken Thomas, but he grabbed his pistol and shot killing him instantly. James entered the room seeing his father murdered. James emotions allowed something to happen that never accrued. James full with emotions began to fill claws growing form the back of his fist. James kills Thomas and scars the face of his former friend Dog leaving three claw marks. James mother took her own life with Thomas gun immediately after James murdered Thomas.
Rose and James fled the estate leaving Dog behind, as years go on Dog hunts down the two former friends. He finds them in British Columbia in hiding. Thomas and James get in a violent altercation which ended Roses life. James impaled Rose with his claws accidentally leaving her to die in his arms. With his heart broken James leaves to live in the woods for many years with a pack of wolves. This and many other events was the beginning of James transformation into Wolverine the crime fighting machine everyone knows that is part of the X-men.
Wolverine comic book first appeared in 1963 by writer Chris Claremont this comic book served as the basis for the new 2013 movie “Wolverine.” The Wolverine comic series has many writers. Marvel is the original creators of the comic book hero creating millions of copies of the Wolverine series worldwide. Wolverine has followers all around the world this series is considered economically successful. The first movie that was released in 2009 and according to Box office mojo 2013, the Wolverine movie made $73 million with 9,100 runs in 101 markets. Wolverine saw the best numbers in the X-men franchise.
Wolverine is considered fiction, even in this fictional story one will find a man who is different than everyone
