The Positive and Negative Effects of The Wave
The Wave novel was based on a real story that was a classroom experiment that went too far.The two positive effects of The Wave by Todd Strasser is everyone is equal and on time. The two negative effects are kids skipping classes and power is making them crazy. The first positive effect is on time.They leave their class before History and hurry over to Mr.Ross’s room. When they get into the classroom they sit quietly and sit straight up.They wait very patiently.When Mr. Ross finally enters he is shocked to see that they are all sitting quietly and ready to do The Wave. “Is this a joke?” said Ben Ross ( Strasser,41). I chose this quote because it was an awakening to see how fast The Wave has spread through the school couple of days. ”At least three teachers stopped me in the hall today to ask what the heck you’re up to” said Christy Ross (Strasser,107).I chose this quote because he didn't realize that the teachers care that much about The Wave.
