In the novel, Anthem by Ayn Rand, rebellion causes positive change because it creates individualism. In the book anthem by Ayn Rand Equality 7-2521 lives in a society where everyone is equal. Towards the end of book he get into so much trouble so he runs to the forest and the golden one follows him and they plan on making their own society. Equality then changes his name in the process of creating his society “So let us choose our name” (Rand 99)”. This shows how being rebellious can have a positive change because equality choose his own he named himself Prometheus by him changing his name made Prometheus individual.
