The Columbian Exchange plays a very significant role in history. Christopher Columbus came to the New World and discovered new things that greatly contributed to the culture and advancements of this new place. His adventure greatly impacted both the Old and New World. While the Columbian Exchange had many positive effects, along with those came negative effects.
The Columbian Exchange brought new life to the New World. The New World already had a few animals and crops before the Old World. The Old World brought horses, donkeys, pigs, cattle, goats, sheep, rice, wheat, barley, oats, and etc. Natives didn’t know what to think. With all the new life it made it easier to live in the New World.
