Nurses should be progressive, they have to evolved along with the nursing profession. Provision six states “The nurse participates in establishing, maintaining, and improving health care environments and conditions of employment conducive to the provision of quality health care and consistent with the values of the profession through individual and collective action.” As an individual nurse, they should treat everyone with compassion and respect. Compassion and respect makes a good nurse, and a good nurse is conducive to a environment that fulfills their ethical duties. Nurses can contribute to the nursing profession through collective action by supporting each other. Creating a safe work environment and join nurse organizations will help maintain and improve the values of the profession.
A good nurse contributes to the values of the nursing profession on a individual basis. A nurse should treat everyone with respect and compassion. They should create a safe environment for the patients, advocate and protect them. All interactions with the nurse should be positive; weather patients or staff. Nurse should come together to make sure their voices are heard. They should participate in organization the support improving healthcare and employee conditions. In addition a supportive nurse will help ensure that everyone is practicing with their ethical obligations in mind. This will create a positive work environment that can be beneficial to the nursing profession.
Nurses should contribute to the values of the nursing profession through individual and collective actions. They should be good nurses, their actions should influence others.
