About seventy years ago, it was a terrible time for the world.A certain group people called the Nazis did terrible things and there were millions of people that died, but throughout that terrible time there were some people that tried to stay positive. That positivity helped them get through their different situations. One specific person that the positivity helped was Anne Frank. Even after she went into hiding, she was positive. She knew that the annex she was hiding in was horrible, but she convinced herself that it was the most comfortable hiding place in all of Holland. Winston Churchill was also alive during that time and he remained positive like Anne. His speech only focuses on the positives. Him staying positive and trying to inspire people will help motivate people to fight for their country. Another Jew, named Yanek Gruener, had his story released. Unlike Anne, this person survived the Holocaust. He made his story into a book called Prisoner B-3087. It is a story of what happened to him in the camps and what he went through. He doesn't just say “You better join the army or all of Britain will be invaded”. No, he tries to say that their country is amazing and worth trying to protect. Another one of his popular speeches called “Finest Hour” has a good example of positivity helping. Churchill, again, says that British citizens need to help their country while they can so that they don't lose to the Germans. He tries to unite the country to fight against the enemy.
