Summarize

All students showed significant gains from the pre assessment score. Students moved up at least by 28 points or higher from the pre assessment. The increase in score shows me students are comprehending the material and strategies sin which they were taught. The scores also indicate students were working to the best of their ability for the English proficiency level. The mean score for the pre assessment was 6.6. I was surprised students scored this low but also understood most students have had very limited time practicing drawing and writing. In order to assure my students would be successful I knew we would multiple class discussions, along with lots of modeling and practicing with writing about what we were going to learn. The mean score for the post assessment is ______. Most students scored within the high range of the assessment. However, some students will still need continuous instruction with writing and dictating what they have learned. Being that my students are Kindergarten and have had little exposure prior to school with drawing and writing I am extremely impressed with their scores on the post assessment. Boys and girls scored similar on the assessment. Both boys and girls scored 5 to 10 on the pre assessment and 35 to 51 on the post assessment. I broke the results down into three categories. 30 to 39, 40-49, and 50 +. All three categories had an even number of boys and girls. After I reviewed my students English Proficiency level, I could see my beginners scored lower which was a high score for their particular level and early intermediate all scored were I had expected they would at the 40 to 49 points on the
