In the recent years there has been an uncontrolled increase of immigrants migrating too more developed countries. The panic has been demonstrated in several aspects and actions by the government’s actions, which try to decrease and stop uncontrolled immigration. Actions that have define and shaped the reputation of every undocumented immigrant.
In “Pregnant on Arrival”, Lubheid talks on how childbearing has an impact on the increase of immigration. One example on this book was in 2004 when the voting on removing the automatic prerogative of citizenship to immigrants unborn kids. In this case, most of the unborn kids or any kind that did not have a parent who was born in Ireland would be taken away the right of citizenship. In this case most kids were going to be affected. The most interesting thing was that the group of people who were the most affected was immigrants who were asylum seekers and that was because there was no decrease in immigration. This is one example of how certain countries try to stop an uncontrolled migration. This also shows how this has shaped illegal immigration, this action expresses how uncontrolled immigration can lead to things such as this that can only affect future generations.
