Preschool Students 'Identifying The Alphabet Letter'

This unit on the alphabet was produced to be a fun learning experience for students. The goal is for students to become familiar with identifying the alphabet letters by matching, tracing the letters, and sounding out each of the letters. The use of these different activities correlated to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom connects students to the beginning of language and literacy development in their lives. It allows the students to build a high recognition of the alphabet letters.
My rational for this project is to have preschool students identify the alphabet letters correctly. The book provides a way to introduce the teaching of identifying each of the alphabet letters. Introducing the alphabet at the preschool age allows the students to acquire proper development of identifying alphabet letters correctly.
b. Methodologies for Teaching and Learning Activities (Integration):
The teacher plans to include these language arts areas reading, listening, viewing, writing and speaking. The teacher will teach the students how to identify the alphabet letters by teaching the letters in alphabetical order and focusing on the same letter for a week or longer depending on if

The teacher will do her best in connecting the content of the lesson to the different types of learners, cultures, and behaviors. There will be opportunities for the teacher to do one on one instruction with the student going to the center. Modifications will be made on assignments if necessary. This literacy center will allow for different level of learners to practice new and old skills. The teacher will decide what level each student is at. This will allow the students to practice skills that need to be worked on and will allow the teacher to decide what needs to be worked on during the whole group sessions.
