In the northern part India which is near the Himalaya Mountains, Prince Siddhartha was born at about 563 B.C.E. He had a father named Suddhodana, who was a powerful king. And his mother was Queen Maya. Queen Maya gave birth to Prince Siddhartha in a garden. When Prince Siddhartha was an infant, he could already talk and walk.
Prince Siddhartha’s wanted him to be a powerful, and a great ruler. Since he was scared of the Brahmin’s predictions, he decided to protect Prince Siddhartha from horrors. So, Prince Siddhartha stayed in his father’s palace. Servants took care of everything the Prince needed. He had an easy life. When Prince Siddhartha was 16, he married a young noblewoman. They had a wedding that lasted seven days
