Princess And The Beast Belle Character Analysis

In this debate, I will be arguing why I think the Disney princess character, Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” is a better and stronger character than Tiana from “Princess and the Frog.”

To start off, Belle is a very relatable character. While Tiana’s place in her life is more stable; I am sure that many people including myself can relate to the fact that Belle can be known as somewhat of a loner, at least at first. Ultimately, Belle being a bookworm makes her possibly the most relatable out of all Disney princesses; at least in my book. See what I did there? Consequently, Belle’s persona consists of a young girl longing for adventure, and a sense of maturity that wasn’t seen in any of the other villagers her age. All things considered, Belle is a very relatable character.

In my opinion, Belle’s moral is more touching than Tiana’s. First and foremost, Belle’s story shows us just how important it is to keep in mind that inner beauty is greater than outer beauty, and to never be deceived by appearances. For instance,

To begin, Belle’s character was very wise. Although she didn’t know everything, she was always willing to learn, and could learn to accept change. The trait of wisdom is quite rare even in the real world, so it’s amazing that Belle has it. Second, Belle was loyal to whomever she considered to be close to. This included the Beast and Maurice. For example, as much as Belle wanted to stay in the Beast’s castle once she warmed up to him and saw his true colors; she was very quick to come to her father’s side when she saw the danger he was in. Another example is that, when Gaston and the rest of the village set off to kill the Beast, Belle ran to the Beast’s side to protect both him and the enchanted objects of the castle. For these reasons, I believe these traits that Belle consists of and many more make her stand
