The Princess Bride is a film about love, companionship, and vengeance. The story focuses on a former farm girl, Buttercup, who has been chosen as the prince's bride to Prince Humperdinck. However, Buttercup does not love him, as she mourns the death of her one true love, Westley. On a horse ride to clear her mind of her upcoming predicament of marriage, Buttercup is kidnapped by a band of bandits: Vizzini, Fezzik, and Montoya, who has trained himself his entire life to be an expert swordsman. However, they are chased by Dread Pirate Roberts himself, aka Westley and attempts to rescue Buttercup. On of the memorable attributes of the movies are the characters. Based on this screenshot, Westley is also in the middle of the picture and above Iñigo. Moreover, this can represent Westley’s bravery, honor and most importantly show a lot of skill. Considering that usually powerful people tend to look down on others and are centered in a crowd. This shot also portrays Iñigo's facial expressions, therefore showing us that Iñigo's is looking up to Westley comparable to a king. The sword movements are very unclear displaying the speed and the intensity of the battle. Finally, the shot and angle captures the scenery and shows us the setting. We also notice exceedingly old chunks of rock and a dusty platform, reminding us that this is an incredibly dangerous place.

Second, in addition to the use of shots and angles to focus on Wesley’s superiority, the filmmakers also use setting in the scene in order to emphasize the intensity of the battle and give us a medieval feeling. This also highlights Westley’s characteristics which are bravery, courage, and skill because, in the middle ages, fights were a life and death
