Analysis of Prison Break from the point of view of the Sociological Perspectives
Prison Break is a TV serial based on the fictional story of two brothers, one of them, the eldest one was sentenced to death penalty for a crime that he did not commit, and the other one, who is an important structural engineer designed a plan to break out his brother from prison because he believed in his brother’s innocence even though nobody trusts in Lincoln (the eldest one) because he used to have drugs and mental issues, but Michael (the younger) always trusted in his brother. Everything was a setup, because their father used to be a secret agent in a company that does illegal processes to help maintain power to those who already had it. Now the company is looking for revenge and they use his sons to make him pay for his betrayal.
Furthermore, Prison Break can be analyzed from the Conflict Perspective because this sociological perspective affirms that those in power want to maintain and extend the inequality existing so they will not lose their current social status. As we can see in the show, Lincoln is accused of the murder of the vice-president of the United States’ brother, however, everything is just a strategy to make her looks helpless, so more people will like and vote

As a regular prisoner people would not be able to have visitors after a certain time or would not have access to restricted places in the prison, but as is shown in Prison Break, money and power make everything possible to those who has it. However, everything isn’t about social class, there are other factors that affect the process of gaining privileges in a prison, some of these factors are: race, sexual preference and gender. Depending on those factor the process can become faster or slower, for example a white male will gain privileges 10 times faster than a woman of
