Curfews. All around our time out with peers is limited due to this blockade determined by government. Curfews, the excuse for deteriorating crime in inner-city. Curfews should be determined by guardians of the youth, not by the government. Curfews are punishing good kids around the country. Do you want your child’s social life determined by a certain time they are required to be home? It’s up to you to make that decision. Curfews should not be put in place by government, but rather by parents. According to a CBS news article, written is February of 2004, Jose Regalado of Chicago, Illinois stated that cops go out of their way to hassle them when they are constantly rushing home in flee of citation. “It’s not fair. They think all kids are bad, but we’re not.” Many minors feel this way, as did one named Andy Herm, who filed a law suit to fight Denver’s curfew.
