Peer Assessment (NPD Assignment)

Please evaluate and then grade your effort and that of your teammates. Be honest and critical of your contribution and that of your different teammates.

Where there are significant discrepancies between group member allocations then each group and/or individual will be asked to meet with the lecturer and course coordinator and provide evidence of their contribution. Where an individual’s efforts have been less than satisfactory then they will not receive the full award for the assignment.

The final question in each set asks you to allocate an overall grade for your contribution and that of your teammates. In allocating this grade please take into account your ratings and this key.

HD (+/-) = High Distinction (80-100%): You or your team member made an out outstanding contribution to the assignment by producing outstanding work featuring originality, excellent critical analysis, detailed research and comprehensive coverage of relevant issues. Overall outstanding contribution and effort.

D (+/-) = Distinction (70-79%): You or your team member made an out significant contribution to the assignment by producing superior work featuring originality, solid research, good critical analysis and well substantiated argument and writing. Overall really good contribution and effort.

C (+/-) = Credit (60-69%) You or your team member made a useful contribution to the assignment by producing above average work demonstrating an understanding of the concepts and their application. Utilized and presented good research and written material. Overall reasonable contribution and effort.

P (+/-) = Pass (50-59%) You or your team member made a basic contribution to the assignment by producing work at or just above minimum standard. Work tended to be more descriptive than analytical and arguments were not strongly supported. The material was not well written requiring substantial redevelopment. Overall marginal contribution and effort.

NP = Fail (45 - 49%) You or your team member made a poor contribution to the assignment by producing work below minimum standard or failure to meet guidelines specified. Your or you team member was disorganized and the contributed work lacked analysis or development. Work was characterized by a lack of clarity in the arguments presented and poor research and writing. Work contributed needed to be discarded or totally redeveloped. Overall poor contribution and effort.
