Introduction to Outcome2:
The main objective of this report is to conduct a skills audit to identify learning style by carrying out a skills audit to evaluate the strategic skills needed to meet current and future leadership requirements. We need to apply appropriate techniques to identify preferred learning style.
TASK2.1:
In this task a skills audit of the employee is done through the SWOT approach. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for career progression and threats to progress are identified.
SWOT analysis which is alternately called as SLOT analysis is a strategic planning[->0] method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses/Limitations, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project[->1] or in a business[->2] venture. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieve that objective. The technique is credited to Albert Humphrey[->3], who led a convention at Stanford University in the 1960s and 1970s using data from Fortune 500[->4] companies.
Setting the objective should be done after the SWOT analysis has been performed. This would allow achievable goals or objectives to be set for the organization.
