Professionalism is a very important quality to have as a person and as an employee. I consider being professional more important than being the best person in terms of skill for a job. If a person is not able to fulfill their responsibilities as an employee or behave properly at work, it would be difficult for them to stay employed at the company. Beyond the work environment, being professional is also important in other environments like in college. Since I have just started college, I realized that I am professional in school. Although I still have to work on participation to be better qualified for the working world, I am professional because of my proper behavior in class and in how I approach my assignments.
