The harsh conditions of the gilded age led to the push of the progressive era. People wanted change and started to create reforms. These reforms led to the “progressive era.” during the progressive era, reformers were successful at making political, social, and economic advances at a national level. But yet, the reformers were still unsuccessful in certain aspects because the federal government failed to do its part.

“The Jungle” was a novel written to show the harsh working conditions of the meat packing industry.”The Jungle is similar to document b because they both showed the public the realities of industries.
