Progressive Essay The children in the classrooms today are our future, they are one day going to be running the world and I want to be a part of that. I want to make a difference in the future by teaching the children that will be our future. With me being a very optimistic and fun spirited person, I know that that as a teacher this will shine through. I don’t want kids to dread coming to school, I want them to never want to leave. This goal comes with the right teaching tactics, I believe that every child has their own pace of learning and their own way of learning and that it is my job to figure this out. Drilling one lesson into the students head and then sending the ones who don’t get to a tutor is not how I will teach. I will use multiple tactics and see which one works best and which one fits each students needs the best.
Teachers with the best attitudes and whom are happy have happy students. In my classroom I will give positive reinforcement all the time, whether it be a “Thank you sally for raising your hand” or a “Thank you Billy for sitting down quietly”. I believe that positive reinforcement is the best because most children only want to please the teacher and make them happy. When they see that a certain behavior is liked by the teacher than they will act in that behavior. For children at such a young age, being hands-ons and in the moment is very intriguing to them and keeps them involved and
