1. PROJECT LIFECYCLE
1.1 Introduction
Project Lifecycle is a simple planning on how to achieve project goals and objective. It has four phases as shown below in Figure 1-1.

1.2 Project Lifecycle Phase
1.2.1 Initiating Phase
Initiating Phase is a starting up project, which involves documentation, a business case, feasibility study, terms of reference, appointing the team and setting up as Project Office.

Need and Requirement
The main scope of this project is 3 storey extension building between block A and B at Building 40 University of Wollongong. The main idea is to accommodate the increased number of student. 3 classrooms will be added in each level.

Option and Initial Business Case
The duration of this project is 39 weeks and the estimated budget is about AUD 3,185,315 including GST.
1.2.2 Planning Phase
Planning Phase involves setting out the flow map by creating the project plan, resource plan, financial plan, quality plan, acceptance plan and communication plan.

Concept Design
The main stakeholders of this project are University of Wollongong, Faculty of Business and UOW students and researchers. Proposed extension building located between block A and B Building 40, University of Wollongong concludes a proposed of disable ramp. In scope of environmental study, the nearest drainage must be upgraded to prevent flood. Proper machinery will be used to prevent noise and air pollution such as uses a pre-bored method for construct the building foundation. Installation of net and fence will prevent flying or falling object exposed to public. Proposed hoarding to avoid public from entering construction site. Hacking or demolish work at night to prevent distraction at university.

1.2.3 Executing Phase
Executing Phase is about deliverables and controlling the project delivery, scope, costs, quality, risk and issues

Detail Design
The estimated budget is about $ 3,185,315 including GST. Detail designed and documentation will prepare by architect, structural, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical engineer and etc. Design will review and approve by Project Director, Project
