During 1947 and lasting until 1991, was the era of the Cold War, the economic struggle between two of the world's superpowers. The Cold War had such an impact it affected basically every country in the world at the time. After World War 2, the Soviet Union and the United States had an ongoing tension between each other. The cold war was a cause of the fear of communism, hate of capitalism, Truman dislikes Stalin, USSR fearing the atomic bomb, and the U.S. refusing to share nuclear secrets. If there was a claimed ‘winner’ of the war, it would easily be Ronald Reagan or the U.S.. The collapse of the Soviet Union and communism was a victory for the U.S.. The propaganda was used to get people to be in support of the war or to demonise communism while enhancing the look of capitalism. A very popular value promoted was the power and benefits of being American, making people take great pride in their country. All of the propaganda being produced definitely didn’t stop there, it was being used in all other parts of the world to demonize America or anyone else on the opposing side. The Korean War was battling between North and South Korea over control of territory. The war started when North Korea’s communist army attacked South Korea on June 25, 1950. After the United States heard about the conflict, they immediately sent help to the South. The war has split many families on both sides of the border because of the different opinions on either communist or anti-communist. Not only has the war affected the people who were there, but is still affecting people today because of the constant conflict the U.S. has with North
