The Jungle During the 1880-1910 period, a lot of tragic events occurred relating to urbanization, industrialization, and immigration. The possibilities behind these events were urban politics, unions, the meat packing industry, unions, and government regulation. But, these were not the most effected problems. The mostly effected problems during the 1880-1910 period was workplace safety, treatment of immigrants, and child labor.

Numerous of areas in the United States were settled as trading post and transportation routes. As the industries and technogloy improved, cities in America became the center of products. Cities grew in populations and in size. Countries became urban, and created new transportation system. This event is where urbanization took place.

Urbanization was fueled by industrial revolution. Also Urbanization was the fastiest organization in the northeastern United States. This acquired and urban majority by 1880 but some states in the northeastern already acquired an urban majority better then. The midwestern and western United States became urban majority by the 1910’s. As agricultural jobs became less common, American workers moved toward manufacturing centers in cities and towns

Sanitary conditions often came from living and working conditions being in large cities being over populated causing it to be unsanitary and very dirty. This caused people to battle life threating diseases. With the lack of sanitation, it caused more people to die and allow the world to be more fifthey. Due to lack of toilets, people had to “use it” anywhere they could. In the bushes, on trees, behind houses, and this caused many more sanitary issues. With the lack of unsanitary water, people didn’t have fresh water to drink or clean water to take a bath or shower, this effected the water supply as a whole. This caused people to collect odor and go around
