Public Nursing is one of many most controversial issues in society today. People form opinions rather than learn any of the facts. They are quick to judge. Don't get me wrong you have some cons to Breastfeeding, but most of the cons are formed by personal opinions! Breastfeeding has been around since the very beginning. The millions of women who do choose to breastfeed do not give a second thought about it. Sexualization of the breast has become an enormous issue. Public breastfeeding makes other people feel very uncomfortable. This is the most natural method of feeding your baby. This is an issue which is misunderstood as an act of disrespect. Women should always have the right to breastfeed whenever. They should have that right and not feel embarrassed for feeding their hungry child. Breastfeeding is very healthy for both the mother and the child. It all depends on how the mother conducts herself in public while breastfeeding. There has been an argument that mothers overexpose themselves while they breastfeed. It is completely understandable why some of the people feel offended by this. Some women choose to feed their child up to an age where society feels is very unacceptable. There is now breastfeeding bras or you could carry a blanket with you and drape it over the shoulder. There are many many benefits just by breastfeeding. How amazing is that? Just by having those benefits it has a lot of potential to save the country billions of dollars in our healthcare system. We could focus on much more larger and pressing issues than waste the public's money and resources or even legislative actions on breastfeeding in public. Society has a way of focusing on little stuff instead of focusing on what truly matters. I would think that many of our taxpayers would agree with me. They wouldn't want their hard earned cash being spent carelessly by embarrassing and harassing nursing
