Can Gun Control in the U.S. Really Make a Difference?
Gun control in the United States has been a long time controversial issue. The argument of whether stricter laws would provide more security and safety for the public has been thoroughly debated. The opposing views of that gun control laws will not make a significant difference and that gun control laws would help the nation are both strong points. However, making more strict laws for guns should reduce violence nationwide. More strict gun laws can help reduce violence nationwide because with more restriction on who can obtain firearms there's a narrower issue, revised weapon concealment laws improve the public's safety, and guns are everywhere and more rules add more security to the nation.

There is no doubt that anywhere in the United States there are firearms of some sort somewhere. So, more rules and regulations to firearms can help deter crime, violence and pretty much anything that can put people's life in danger. A survey in 1982 prisons around 11 states across the U.S. found that, "34% had been scared off, shot at, wounded, or captured by an armed victim… 40% had decided not to commit a crime because they knew or believed that the victim was carrying a gun… 69% personally knew other criminals who had been scared off, shot at, wounded, or captured by an armed victim.” People may not abide to the rules and regulations, but that just makes it easier to identify illegal usage of firearms. It would literally enable authorities to be able to see who is abusing a firearm, both and quickly accurately. Then again, there is another side of things. If everyone abided by the rules of firearms and new laws or movements have driven gun control to a point of stopping gun-related violence, there would be no violence in the United States caused by guns. This is the overall goal of gun control, not to take guns away from the public, but to ensure their safety with
