Pro Side of Gun Control in America

The basis of gun control is to reduce gun violence and overall gun crime. I say reduce because it is virtually impossible to eliminate all gun violence and crime in its entirety, but with stricter policies and regulations their use for harmful means will be lessened. Background checks should be a necessity when purchasing a weapon of any sort. Also with gun control the lives of students will be safer because schools are a target for shooters.
With gun control people who are mentally or physically unfit will be prevented from owning one. Also unnecessary weapons and attachments, such as assault weapons and large magazines, will be limited and regulated. A ban of handguns should at least be considered being …show more content…
If we sit idly by without taking action against the tragedies within our nation we will fall down a spiral.
