In the book Julius Caesar the Julius has just killed Pompey a leader. The people under Pompey start praising Julius, the senate of Rome call these people traitors and look down on them. They look to replace Caesar with his right hand man Brutus because he is good with people and could help them in many other ways.

Killing Caesar and replacing him with Brutus his best friend Brutus has it's pros and cons. Some pros are that they would have the common people of Rome in their pocket with government decisions, it would be easier to cover up Caesars death as well, and Brutus would help sell their plans another pro for killing Caesar is that he battled for glory not for Rome, and killing Caesar led to the golden age of Rome . The cons of this are killing a noble general of Rome and losing a good leader, he also was good politician and was never defeated in a battle; and at the time he was the best strategists the world . The cons best out the pros in this conspiracy because Caesar has more value to give to Rome than the people's trust. This will hurt the conspiracy because they are literally killing an innocent

A soothsayer tells Caesar to beware March fifteenth because in this day he is murdered. Cassius sees Caesar as weak and a coward, but Brutus sees Caesar as a friend and a good general. Caesar says “Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look. He thinks too much. Such men are dangerous." (page 25/ Act I, scene ii) about Cassius. “Caesar was sad that the people cheered when he turned down the crown (pages 27-32).” At the end of scene two Cassius plans to kill Caesar and throw fake letters through Brutu,s window to make them look like hey are from sentences. What cases means is that something bad is going to happen. They want Brutus to join the conspiracy because the people like him and he will help sell their
