19 Apr Many studies have been done to determine if keeping any animal in captivity is an ethical choice and there's been no strong conclusion. multiple pros and cons bring it to a complete standstill. The biggest issue with zoos is that most animals are not given proper space or an ability to enjoy themselves, this can be exhibited in extreme situations such as Sea World where orcas were kept in small (compared to the ocean) white pools of water and forced to perform for food. A zoos response to this issue is completely valid though, in today's world the ability to develop sympathy for animals is much more difficult than it used to be and the need for children to see animals of all kinds face to face so they can develop
